Body fat is stored as adipose tissue under the skin (80-90% of total body fat) and organs in the body, especially visceral adipose tissue (6-20% of total body fat). Obese and overweight individuals usually do too have excess calorie intake, this will cause insulin produced by β cells the pancreas is not enough to compensate for the high calorie intake, which it will eventually causes an increase in blood sugar levels.
